Prologue

In 2021, I joined a company that primarily undertook EPC contract works for large-scale, commercial off-grid solar installations in Southern India. They also had custom solutions for large-capacity off-grid inverters and batteries. Their method of delivering solar power was unique to them, so much so that their growth was stupendous. For the sake of confidentiality, I can only disclose the name of the company in its abbreviated form, which is OE Private Limited.

By 2025, the company was wound up due to disputes among the stakeholders, mostly over the deteriorating service quality of the unique solutions they provided. However, I utilized the vast experience I had gained while associated with the company to form another business providing similar solutions in the solar sector. Instead of relying on proprietary solutions, we have tied up with trusted brands that provide reliable solutions in the off-grid space. Deviating from the earlier company's strategy, the new company also got empanelled with the Ministry of Renewable Energy, enabling us to be registered vendors who can process government subsidies and subsidized loans.

For the sake of confidentiality, the new company will be called EP Private Limited, or EPPL.

My next posts will be on a unique journey for EPPL as it prepares a strategy to scale up its turnover many times over.
